Migration

Move your current website to glacom.AI servers. You need this when you activate our services to have everything in one place and optimize performance.

How it works

The move happens smoothly so your work is not interrupted. Imagine moving your office: first we bring all the furniture and documents to the new location, we check that everything works, and only at the end do we change the address on the door. For example, if you sell products with prices updated daily, your customers will continue to see the correct prices without interruptions during the transition.

The process follows these stages: 1. Full copy of your site files and data. 2. Technical verification to ensure every page is accessible. 3. DNS change, which is the update of the address pointing to the new server.

Downtime is minimized or zero. During the DNS change hours, you might notice that some users see the old version and others see the new one: this is normal network behavior and resolves automatically in a short time.

What you need to do

  1. Provide access to your current hosting space or domain management panel.
  2. Confirm availability to start the procedure.

What glacom® does

  • Performs the data copy.
  • Verifies there are no broken links or loading errors.
  • Manages the domain pointing to the new servers.
  • Monitors the site after the move to guarantee maximum speed.

Limits

Migration does not fix content errors or design problems present in the original site. If the starting site has broken links or slow pages, these will be moved as they are. To solve these problems, check the errori e correzioni section.

Frequent problems

  • Is the site offline? → No, the transition is managed to avoid service interruptions.
  • Will I lose my data? → No, we make a full copy before every operation.
  • Do I need to change my email address? → No, emails remain active and are not touched.

From the app

Not available from the app: migration is a technical operation managed entirely by the glacom® team.
