Why it sometimes says "I don't know"

This page explains why the assistant sometimes doesn't answer and how to solve the problem.

How it works

The system responds only if it finds certain information among the documents you uploaded. If a customer asks, for example, "What are the opening hours on Saturday?" and you haven't written the Saturday hours in any source, the assistant will say it doesn't know.

It is a security choice: glacom® prefers to admit it doesn't have the information rather than invent a random time, avoiding giving false information to your customers. This happens when there is no block of text close enough to the meaning of the question.

What you need to do

To eliminate these responses, you must add the missing information:

  1. Check the list of unanswered questions.
  2. Write the missing content following the instructions in Aggiungere quello che manca.
  3. Upload the new text to update the knowledge of glacom.AI.

What glacom® does

The system analyzes every question and searches for the most pertinent pieces of information. If the pertinence is too low, it blocks the response and records the question as "unanswered" so you can see and correct it.

Limits

The assistant cannot deduce information that has not been explicitly written. If you write that the shop is open "from Monday to Friday", the system cannot assume it is closed on the weekend: if a customer asks about Saturday, the assistant will say it doesn't know.

Frequent problems

  • Why doesn't it answer if the information seems to be there? → Perhaps the text is written too ambiguously or is fragmented into blocks that are too small.
  • Can I force the system to invent an answer? → No, to guarantee the reliability of the service glacom® does not allow the invention of data.
