Customization

Choose how your assistant presents itself and speaks with customers. This ensures the interaction is consistent with your company image.

How it works

You can decide every detail of the conversation. For example, you can set the assistant to welcome users by saying: "Hi! I'm the Hotel Sole assistant, can I help you book a room for the weekend?". You can define if it should use formal or informal language, which languages it should respond in, and how the widget should appear on your site.

What you need to do

  1. Choose the tone of voice: indicate if the assistant should be formal, friendly, or concise.
  2. Write the welcome message: define the first sentence the customer reads as soon as they open the chat.
  3. Set the languages: select the languages the assistant should speak.
  4. Define the hours: indicate when the assistant is active or when it should notify that the office is closed.
  5. Customize the appearance: choose the colors and style of the widget to match your site.

Tip

If you notice the assistant isn't using the right tone after launch, you can fix it by following the guide on how to Correct the tone.

What glacom® does

It configures the technical parameters so the assistant respects your style and language choices in every response, connecting the widget to your site or social channels via API.

Limits

The assistant cannot change tone mid-conversation based on the customer's mood: it follows the general setting you chose. The graphic customization of the widget has layout limits to ensure the chat remains readable on all devices.

Frequent problems

  • Is the assistant using a tone that is too formal? → Edit the tone of voice instructions in the settings.
  • The welcome message doesn't appear? → Check that you saved the changes and refresh your site page.
  • Can I change the language for only some customers? → No, the assistant responds in the languages you enabled for everyone.

From the app

You can edit the welcome message and monitor Conversations to see if the tone is effective.
