Error types

This guide helps you understand why your assistant answered incorrectly and how to solve the problem.

How it works

Every error has a specific cause. For example, if a customer asks for Saturday opening hours and the assistant says you are closed, but you are actually open, the error is due to an outdated source.

Here are the most common error types:

Error type Typical cause How to solve
Wrong answer The source is incorrect or old Correct a document
"I don't know" The content is completely missing Add what is missing
Partial answer The content is poorly written or ambiguous Correct a document
Wrong tone The customization is incorrect Correct the tone
Old source You haven't updated the documents Correct a document
Malfunction Technical system problem Report to glacom

What you need to do

  1. Analyze the assistant's answer.
  2. Identify the error type using the table above.
  3. Follow the link in the "How to solve" column to apply the fix.

What glacom® does

The glacom® team only intervenes in cases of technical malfunction after you have sent a report.

Limits

The assistant cannot know what is not written in the sources you provided. If the information is missing, the error is due to a gap in the knowledge base and not a system failure.

Frequent problems

  • The assistant is polite but gets the data wrong? → It is a source error: correct the document.
  • The assistant answers correctly but seems too formal? → It is a tone error: adjust the customization.
  • The assistant does not answer at all or gives system errors? → It is a malfunction: report it immediately.

From the app

You can monitor answers and identify error types directly from the conversation logs.

Behaviors to report even if they are not "errors"

Two cases that do not fit in the table but are worth reporting because they help with fine tuning:

  • Data already provided is requested again in the same conversation.
  • Two identical requests, different outcomes: same intent, same information, result correct once and wrong the next time. Report both cases: the comparison between the two is what allows for intervention.
