Your site as a source

Use your website content to train the assistant. This prevents you from manually writing information that is already online.

How it works

glacom.AI reads your website pages and uses them as a basis to answer customers. For example, if your site says a product price is 50 euros or your hours are 9:00-18:00, the assistant will use this data to answer correctly without you having to enter it again.

The system performs an initial import of all pages. After that, it updates the content automatically every night. For pages that change frequently, the update is continuous. If you change the site structure, glacom® notices and realigns the information on its own.

What you need to do

  1. Provide the address of your website.
  2. Choose the pages to include or exclude (for example, you can exclude the legal terms page if the assistant doesn't need it).
  3. Verify that the information is correct via the verification section.

When there is no API: scraping

Direct connection (integration) is the best way when your system exposes an API. But many sites and management systems don't have an API. Scraping is the answer: the system reads your websites like a visitor would, extracts the content, and keeps it aligned. No technical work on your part, no changes to your systems: if the information is visible on your site, the bot can learn it and stay updated.

This also works with multiple sites: the showcase site, the e-commerce, the published price list. All can feed the same bot.

Limits

The system only reads text that is publicly visible on the site. It cannot access reserved areas, password-protected pages, or private non-indexed documents. If a page is written entirely as an image (without real text), the content will not be read.

Frequent problems

  • The site changed but the assistant still answers with old data? → The automatic update happens at night, wait until dawn or request a manual update.
  • The assistant quotes a page I wanted to hide? → Exclude the specific URL from the sources in the settings.
  • What happens if I delete a page from the site? → glacom® will remove the information during the next automatic update.

From the app

You can monitor which site pages have been imported and add new URLs to scan.
