Domain and hosting

This section explains how your site address is managed and where your data resides online. It helps you understand who handles the technical side to make your site reachable.

How it works

The domain is the address your customers type into the browser, such as www.yourcompany.it. Hosting is the digital space where your site content is saved. For example, if you want a customer to find your opening hours or the prices of a specific window frame, the site must be hosted on an active and fast server.

With glacom.AI services, these components are already included: you don't need to look for external providers or pay separate subscriptions to make the site work.

What you need to do

  1. Choose the name: indicate the domain you want to use.
  2. Provide access: if you already own a domain registered elsewhere, provide the login credentials to allow the connection.

What glacom® does

  • Registration: includes the domain in the service.
  • DNS Management: configures all technical parameters to link the name to the site.
  • Email: creates corporate email boxes with your domain.
  • Security: performs a daily backup of the entire site to avoid data loss.
  • Expansion: manages the purchase of extra domains if you need them.

Limits

The service includes technical management, but it does not include content creation for the blog or graphic design. If you decide to change providers in the future, transferring extra domains may take time depending on international registries.

Frequent problems

  • My current domain isn't working? → Check that you provided the correct access via a ticket.
  • Can I have more than one address for the same site? → Yes, you can request extra domains that redirect to the main site.
  • What happens if the site has a problem? → glacom® restores the data from the last daily backup.
