Onboarding your website

This procedure is used to transfer the technical management of your website to glacom.AI. You need this when you decide to entrust us with the update and maintenance of your online presence.

How it works

The glacom® team analyzes the current structure of your site to understand how to integrate it into its services. For example, if you sell shoes and want your site to show updated prices or store hours, we must first have technical control of the platform to apply these changes.

What you need to do

To start, you must provide us with the following access:

  • Hosting: username and password of the control panel where the site resides.
  • Domain: credentials of your web address manager (e.g. the account where you renew the site name every year).
  • Administration panel: direct access to the site backend (e.g. the area where you write your articles or upload products).
  • Email: the list of email boxes linked to the domain and the relative configurations.

What glacom® does

Our team verifies that all accesses are working and that the site is secure. We perform a full backup before any intervention. Once the data is acquired, we proceed with the technical configuration necessary to connect the site to our services. Typical onboarding times vary from a few days to one week, depending on the complexity of your infrastructure.

Tip

If you don't remember the passwords, contact your previous technician or the service provider before starting the process.

Limits

Onboarding does not include the recovery of lost passwords or access to accounts for which you do not own the credentials. If the site has serious security problems or corrupted files, a complete migrazione might be necessary instead of simple onboarding.

Frequent problems

  • What happens to my emails? → They are not interrupted, we only take care of the correct technical configuration.
  • Will the site stay offline? → No, the operation happens while the site is active without interruptions for your customers.
  • What happens if I don't have the domain codes? → You will need to request them from your previous provider to allow us to operate.

From the app

Not available from the app: the sending of credentials happens through secure channels agreed with your contact person or via ticket.
